A Dorset technologist with a dog, a company, and very average guitar.

The old about page hoped I would own a dog one day.

That update shipped. Daisy lives with us now. The rest of the story is the same shape: a kid who liked computers, a first PC in 1999, a support job two months later, and a long detour through classic ASP, freelance LAMP, and a start-up that grew into a franchise.

Chapter two

VeriSmart, since 2008

Jonathan and I built an online calendar and tenant-delivery system so letting agents could stop posting paper inventories. The company rebranded in 2015. Today it is a UK network of 40+ franchise areas and 200+ inspectors — and I still write the software they use on the doorstep. verismart.co.uk
